BCIS is the Building Cost Information Service of The Royal Chartered Institute of Surveyors (RICS).  Their online Residential Rebuilding Cost Calculator allows you to obtain instant, real-time estimates of your property's rebuilding cost with instant access to the very latest, accurate and most reliable rebuilding cost data available.  

The service calcuIndependent Safeslates the rebuilding cost of a residential property given minimal details and will even estimate the floor area of your home for you (if you do not have the information to hand).  The calculator returns a report showing the estimated rebuilding cost along with what information you provided and any assumptions it has made.
